Gameplay Notes:
---------------

- Dance on the floor with the BOBs

- Use the Action key on the DJ panel to play sounds.

- Visit the bathroom to take a break from the loud music and refresh.

To Install:
---------------

Move the 'Nightclub' folder into your Marathon Infinity directory. (Where the executable is)
Aleph One version 1.7 is required.

Select 'Nightclub' as the map under "Preferences/Environment/Map" in Aleph One.

FPS interpolation turned on is highly recommended for better camera movement fluidity.

Have Ephemera effects rendering set to a minimum of 'Low'.

About:
---------------

The full concept of this map is actually for the player to RUN the nightclub. By purchasing and toggling on club amenities (likely timer based) higher ranking Marathon monsters would arrive. The more monsters, the more points the player earns. But watch out! Occasionally Assimilated BOBs will come to the dance floor and blow up from excitement, killing your precious guests in the process. Similar to the game Startopia, certain monsters would prefer specific amenities more.

Probably won't get to it though. :D Enjoy this teaser.

Postmortem/Misc:
---------------

Originally the drone bolts were not path-traced, they existed in a spherical orbit that had a wider radius than the main room. To prevent culling, each bolt polygon was moved to the player's active polygon each tick. In the case the player entered the restroom, the bolt polygon became the one adjacent to the door entrance. Then I figured... let's go crazy!

DJ stage could be decked out a bit more. Perhaps with more stuff from the ceiling such as a mini Jjaro ephemera/scenery object.
I also think having a DJ button activate some smoke spray ephemera would be sick.

A bar would be a cool addition. As the player dances on the floor, their health drops. They would have to go over to the bar to call for a health canister from the bar jockey. Multiple height layered polygons in the back could make the shelves. Add different light scenery objects on the shelves to represent exotic bottles.

I like the USA style bathroom stalls. Didn't go too far modeling all the sinks and urinals in Weland. Keep it simple. Use your imagination.
If we did want to go fancy Duke Nukem style mirror:
 1) Could build the mirror's double room, and Lua replicate player movement of a Marine ephemera
 2) Could make the mirror viewing angle very forward-facing only and next to a wall, and then place a Bob or Marine sprite on the reflective side of the mirror.
 3) If the player gets too close to the mirror wall, could switch the camera to a third-person one facing outward from the mirror surface. When the player looks away, switch back to first-person.
